Charley WatsonParticipant
Hi Tasneem, thanks for the feedback. I totally understand what you are saying about planning words. I do agree that Crutch 11 is a great Crutch, I just need to work on my soft voice because when I get nervous it seems automatic for me to talk loud. As far as coaching, I actually receive biweekly coaching from Lee which has been very helpful.
I’m so glad you mentioned this forum at our last speech master’s event so now I don’t have to wait until my sessions with Lee to ask questions.
I will keep you updated!
Charley WatsonParticipantJavier, thank you so much for this. I have watched a couple of your most recent videos and I like how you stress the importance of holding your tone when speaking. Seems like you’ve come such a long way!
Charley WatsonParticipantTasneem – thanks for your response! Yes I actually attended the last two speech master’s events and I was so happy that I went. It’s a bit early for a Saturday but I found that it was a very safe and welcoming space. I plan on attending the meetings every chance that I can, and my goal is to speak up and say something at the meetings. So far, I been to two of those meetings and I spoke up twice so I feel good about that.
Javier – thanks for the advice! You’re absolutely right and when I simply stop thinking about words I think my hesitations should go away.
