    Hi Marjetka,
I’m John from Scotland. A PWSS and one of the hosts for the practice group on Monday and Wednesday at 7:30pm UK TIME.
You are very welcome to come to the group. We practice a number of different things using the crutches and I’m sure you’ll get a lot out of it. Hope to see you tomorrow.
Good luck with your journey on WSSA. Try to watch two or three coaching sessions on the site every week.

    Hi Larry,
I’m John from Scotland and a PWSS.
My advice is come to SAM meetings on Saturday where Lee and the other coaches will answer any of your questions. I host crutch practice sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays. Look at the site for details.
Buy Lee’s latest book that has an extra 200 plus pages of additional content.
Once you become a PWSS, you’ll be of the mindset that it doesn’t matter if you talk to 1 person or 300.

    Hello Tino,
Welcome to WSSA and you have come to the best place to overcome stuttering.
You should watch Lee’s video lessons and the coaching videos with PWS/PWSS. Since joining the program in August of 2020, I must have watched at least 100 coaching videos with the coaches & PWS. It’s really like having your own coaching session and you’ll find that a benefit.
Also, try to attend the SAM meetings and meet others on the program.

    Regards

    Hi Stephanie,
Welcome to WSSA! I had a severe stutter from the age of 4 up until last October. I stuttered for 45 years and Lee Lovett’s methods has been the only thing that has helped me.
Myself and other people inc. Doug, host midweek practice sessions.
I’ll include my email for more info.

    Hi Tanya,
    Welcome to WSSA.
I too had a severe stutter and Lee’s book, using the crutches, watching coaching videos etc has been the only thing that has helped me.
I host practice meetings on Zoom on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:30pm to 8:30pm. If you’d like to come, give me your email address.

To remove anxiety when talking to strangers, try to speak in a softer voice, speak slowly (extreme pronunciation), and most importantly insert a full stop every three to five words or so.
Another tip…avoid eye contact when talking to a stranger and look at another part of their face. I sometimes look at their mouth or ear. The other person won’t know the difference ????. Something to try until feeling more comfortable using eye contact.
One of the coaches of WSSA, called Javier is excellent at offering advice in greater detail.
Welcome again to WSSA and I hope you benefit from the program.
    P.S
Why not come to a SAM meeting on Saturday? You’ll learn a lot from Lee, the coaches and all the PWSS.

    Hi,
I’m having a practice group meeting this Wednesday at 10am EST. The host of the meeting is in New York and he has meetings with a number of different people throughout the week. We have been meeting every Monday but someone in the group can’t make it on Monday.
We use Zoom and I can contact the host if you want to join us on Wednesday or when we have the meeting the following Monday. We would email you with the Zoom details and password.

    Hi,
A number of WSSA members have small group meetings once or twice a week and practice crutches etc.
I practice with two other people on a Monday.
Where are you from? One of the people in my group, is in another practice group too.

Adam, I don’t think you are helping when you berate the people on WSSA that are trying to improve their speech. I’ve seen a number of your posts in the forum and they are usually negative. I know that you are autistic and perhaps see things as ‘black & white’ but we are all helping each other with hints/tips to our speech.
