Thank you for the advice I will definitely try doing that. The other issue is that I have is the fear of speaking to large groups of people(say a meeting, wedding etc) and I realize the only way you can truly get good at public speaking is to practice actually doing it. I understand that there is a meeting here offered on a Saturday once a month or so but I work on Saturdays. I have thought of registering for Toast masters but I think that would be too overwhelming w my speech issue. I guess my question is are you aware of any other forum or group that perhaps could be small group practice?
Thank you Javier
Hey Larry and Javier,
Im Damian and have dealt with speech issues most of my life. I purchased Lee’s book several months ago and have been working through it; reading aloud most days and doing mind training twice a day. Its been very helpful especially the use of crutches but they are still not automatic the way I would like. I need to work on them more and I still haven’t spoken in front large groups of people putting these crutches to work.
