I hear it quite often, that when we are tired, we stutter more, and PWS use this as an excuse for bad incidents’.
I always tell them, whether a fluent person is tired or not, they will never stutter (and I am not referring to normal “stutters” that all people have in certain situations). So all it means is that you are allowing yourself to stutter because you are not willing to put in the extra work and concentration that is needed when one is tired.
Yesterday I was so tired, I could feel my eyes closing, yet speech did not even cross my mind. I completed a whole coaching session without a stutter/fear/speech thought.
What are your thoughts?
