I have a question that maybe someone would be willing to answer:
1. When working in a field that requires a lot of public speaking/business presentations, how do you continue to work on your speech so that you can continue to build fluency memories? On days in which I am not fluent and I have a presentation or phone call, this doesn’t help me build my fluency memories, it’s actually a setback.
Hi Charley!
I know what you mean, in my job (I’m also a realtor), I deal with strangers every day. I wrote something about this in WSSA’s blog some weeks ago, and ‘m sure it will be very helpful for you:
I also speak about this quite frequently in my coaching sessions. I encourage you to watch the videos. You can filter them by tags (search for “presentations”).
Javier, thank you so much for this. I have watched a couple of your most recent videos and I like how you stress the importance of holding your tone when speaking. Seems like you’ve come such a long way!
