I’m sorry to say that repetiton of affirmations have not helped me!!!! Reading aloud privately will NOT make you fluent……..I know for the majority reading aloud has helped! But for me, it does nothing!!!
Hi Adam,
How often are you doing your mind training? Has your speech improved at all since you started with our methods?
The affirmations, auto-suggestions and self-hypnosis have been a huge help for me. They helped me get rid of the fears, the anxiety, the anger…. I’m a completely different personnow, and these things have played a crucial role.
I will keep on using these mind training treatments for the rest of my life, that’s for sure. And most, if not all, of the people I coach agree with the benefits of the mind-training treatments. It is true that you don’t notice them the first time you do them, we need to be patient (in my case it took me 3 weeks until I started feeling the benefits of self-hypnosis, for example), but it’s so much worth it!
Did you also use affirmations while you were sleeping? I’ve tried it last night but I couldn’t sleep because of it.
Now I don’t, but I did it for quite a long time when I was still a PWS. But I must admit that I didn’t do it every day, because the day I played the recordings while sleeping, I must say that I didn’t rest as well, but I could sleep nonetheless. So I played the recordings at night intermitently: one day I did, the following one I didn’t, the next one I played them again, and so on.
I played the recordings at a low volume, enough to be barely heard, but loud enough to understand them. This recording must be done in a monotone voice, that’s important so that it doesn’t interrupt your sleep.
Gabor, could you try playing them in the background while you are awake and doing other things? Listening to the recordings while you are sleeping is NOT CRUCIAL. So, if it wakes you up, skip it!
exactly! I also listen to them when working, cooking, doing the laundry, etc.
OK, I’ll make an another recording, this time with extreme pronunciation and passion (a.k.a. crutch 11)
Let us know how it works out, okay Gabor?
Ok, I’ll tell you my experiences on our coaching session next week.
