Hello everyone!! My name is Stephanie, I am 19 years old, and I live in New York, USA.

I was very hesitant to post an introduction on here, but I finally realized that there is this awesome and beautiful community that is willing to help me.

I have stuttered since the age of 3, mostly under high pressure situtions. This includes speaking on the phone, in front of large groups, and oddly enough to my parents and my professors. I would say that I stutter on 30-40% of my words, which I realize is not that severe. But, there is ALWAYS room for improvement, right? 🙂

I wanted to thank WSSA for all that it offers to the stuttering world. Growing up, I would have done anything to have a community like the one I found here!! I wanted to know of there is anyone here that is willing to work with me on improving my speech. This can include weekly meetings via zoom/skpe or coaching.

I stuttered all my life until a few years ago I picked up “Stuttering and Anxiety Self-Cures” by Lee Lovett. Reading his book, using his methods and Skyping with him, I became fluent in my late fifties. You have the tools here and the support to gain fluency. Welcome to WSSA! I had a severe stutter from the age of 4 up until last October. I stuttered for 45 years and Lee Lovett’s methods has been the only thing that has helped me.

I am Leah, a WSSA certified coach. I stuttered for around 17 years and cured within 3 months. I now coach people and assist them with stopping stuttering!

If you sign up as a stutter plan member, you receive 3 free coaching sessions. You also get access to all of our crutch courses as well as ou library of + 1000 coaching videos, which is in fact like being coached yourself. Please attend the SAM meeting this Saturday at 10am NYC time!
