Have a great day!September 8, 2023 at 11:16 pm #45603Dave NicholsParticipantHello All,
My name is Dave, I have been stuttering since age 10 and I turn 60 next month. My stutter, like most of us, rears its ugly head at the least opportune moments, high pressure situations. I recently had a bad experience with an influential person and afterward I looked through Amazon books, and stumbled onto Lee’s book. Only two weeks in at this point, but the idea that this is psychosomatic, and that people can actually beat their stutter gives me real hope. I look forward to being involved and I am committed to doing the necessary work to really beat this curse.
September 9, 2023 at 9:49 am #45613JavierModeratorHello Dave! Welcome to WSSA! You’re right, stuttering can be beaten. Many people have done it, the proof is here, and you can do it too!
I hope you join us today in our weekly SAM Meetings (Saturdays at noon NY time). You can find the Zoom link in Resources -> Speech Club.
Attend as well to the daily practice sessions to practice Crutches, meet other PWS and PWSS, help and learn from each other!
Have a great day!January 19, 2024 at 11:41 am #46672[email protected]ParticipantHi Everyone,
I’m Kaz and 27yo. I was born with a stutter but it has improved last couple of years, as my work involves talking to people. I used to be very shy and was afraid of speaking but now I am open to meeting new people and my self-esteem is more greater. I would consider my stutter to be moderate when out with socialising with friends and stranger in an uncontrolled loud environment and find my stuttering is worst when I’m in those situations.
I came across to Lee Lovett and his website through a viewer commented on my first video I uploaded on youtube about my stutter. I then did my research and am amaze of the large amount of positive reviews and the number of people that has been cured from stuttering. I am hoping to be an ex-stutterer through this program and am looking forward being a part of this program.

January 19, 2024 at 12:02 pm #46673JavierModeratorHi Kaz! Welcome to WSSA. My name is Javier and I am one of WSSA’s Certified Coaches. I used to be very, very severe stutterer, and I’m fluent now, so I believe that if I have been able to do it, 99% of PWS can do it too!!
Do join us in our weekly speech club meetings (SAM) and daily practice sessions, and meet with other PWS/PWSS and work on your speech with the rest of us!
I hope to see you tomorrow at SAM! You can find the links to all these meetings in the “Resources” section of our website.Keep us posted with your progress!
January 19, 2024 at 12:10 pm #46674[email protected]ParticipantHi Javier,
Its nice to meet you.
I’m located in Australia so it will be at 3am when I joined but I do want to attend tomorrow’s meeting and will tried my best. I have gone through a bit of the master course and still figuring out the crunches, I know one way is whispering or mouthing the words. Are you able to provide other strategies to tackle the crunches?
Thanks,
Kaz
January 19, 2024 at 12:17 pm #46675JavierModeratorMy best advice, due to the time difference, would be to watch recordings of the SAM Meetings and coaching sessions. There are many where we drill Crutches and Speech Plans, so they should be very helpful.
The best way to master the Crutches is practice, practice, and more practice. Practice them when you read aloud, use them when speaking in low-pressure situations too, even if you don’t need them.
And, of course, if you need extra help, you can always purchase coaching sessions.
I’ve coached people from Australia before, so my morning time is your evening time, so we can make that work if needed.January 23, 2024 at 10:56 am #46713[email protected]ParticipantHi Javier,
I sent you a direct message to your email.
Let me know if you did not get it?
Thanks,
Kaz
