Hi ????????♂️,
My name is Kionne, I am a 29 year old male and I am from the lovely twin island Caribbean nation of Trinidad and Tobago. Although my speech has improved along the years it is not at a point where I can say I am happy with it at all. I would describe myself as a mild stutterer on most days who has a very low threshold to turn into a severe stutterer when presented with certain situations. It just so happens that because of my job these situations oocur constantly ????.
I recently stumbled upon Lee Lovett’s audiobook a few weeks ago and I was immediately filled with hope that this is something I can still work on and something I can learn to master. I am yet to complete the book but I have joined as a free member for now so I can join the community and hopefully join in on the weekly zoom meetings while I finish the book.
I sometimes think that I am the only person on this entire island who experiences the things I do and have the same worries that I do regarding something as integral to life as speech and communicating. But while listening to the book I discovered this community and I was low key over the moon. Thank you all so much for providing a place to make us PWS not feel so alone.

Welcome! I am so glad that you stumbled across WSSA. Are you going to be joining us at the SAM meeting on Saturday at 10 am DC time?
Remember, if you sign up as a stuttering plan member, you will immediately receive 3 free coaching sessions as well as access to all the video courses and coaching videos. We also just released a new “Crutch Mastery” series video course. This will assist you with mastering the crutches and you will therefore be able to stop stuttering long enough to form the fluency habit.
Let us know if you have any questions regarding our method. We are happy to answer any questions you may have. Hope to see you at the SAM meeting on Saturday!

Welcome to WSSA!! I’m sure that the book is going to beat stuttering once and for all!!
The key to do it is to be very consistent, and work on the methods herein 24/7, until you master them, until you do them without thinking. It requires patience and determination, but you will definitely get there. A lot of us have done it, so you can also do it!!
I hope to see you in the SAM meetings!! (every Saturday at 10am NY time) -
