Hello everyone,
I am Anomitro,16 year old currently preparing for a major entrance exam(JEE). I am posting on this website for the first time but I am not new, I have used this website before. Let me tell you what happened. Back in late march 2024, I had started watching the videos and reading lee sir’s book. I had also learned a few crutches, I did this for about 2 weeks and my stuttering almost vanished and I stopped using the website after that. Recently I have had a stutter relapse. Its all coming back, I am no longer confident and I can no longer speak whenever I want to, I cannot ask doubts in my class, cannot crack jokes and feel a severe social anxiety whenever I am outside. Its just like how it used to be 6 months back. Its really messing up with my mental health. I have started reading the book again. It would be great if I can get in touch with any of you coaches and discuss my problems and have a talk.

Relapses happen when you have not completed the entire program, with all its phases:
1) Become a PWSS (4 weeks without bad incidents).
2) Eliminate the residual stuttering fears and speech anxiety.
3) Learn to love to speak everywhere.
4) Adopt a mind training regime to improve/change other aspects of yourself that are not related to your speech and thus consider stuttering a blessing in your life.So maybe you completed the first stage and started working on the next one, and then stopped when you reached a level of comfort in regards to your speech, but you did not finish the program. So the residual fears started to grow again, until you eventually had a relapse.
The good news is that you defeated stuttering once. You can do it again. You know how to do it. And this time it should be easier.
Start again doing at least 2 daily mind training treatments, reading aloud and mastering the Crutches and your Emergency Speech Plan. Come to our weekly SAM Meetings and Daily Practice sessions. You can do it!

can I connect with you on telegram?July 22, 2024 at 6:58 pm #48354JavierModeratorI don’t have Telegram. You can always send me an email to [email protected].
Another thing you can do is join our WSSA Whatsapp Group, and talk with other PWS/PWSS. Just go to Resources -> Daily Practice Sessions. Over there you will find a link to join us. -
