Hi Adam. Yes, it helped me speak more fluently in conversations (spontaneous speech). Even when I had those days in which I felt more nervous, foir whatever reason, and my speech wasn’t as smooth as usual, if I grabbed a book and read aloud for 1h, slowly, and using the Crutches, after that I felt more relaxed, more confident, and my speech sounded much better afterwards.
Hi Javier, yea this happens to me every time I read aloud and use crutches. I feel confident and ready to tackle the day and it keeps the crutches fresh before a days use!
Exactly, Adam! Even as a PWSS, I can’t recommend this enough!! Especially with Crutch 10 in my case. We never get enough of hearing our voices at our best (when reading aloud)

It does, indeed. When you read aloud, you hear fluency. This washes out the negative stuttering memories from your MMIB and allows you to speak fluently in all situations.
This in turn allows you to speak immediately, just as all fluent speak all the time.
Reading aloud is not spontaneous, but it prepares you to be able to speak immediately – something we should have been doing our whole lives.
Does this answer your question?
